TV Show Access On The Internet (also click on Comparison to see more information and articles comparing these services):

The latest four episodes of most TV shows are available on the Internet "for free" with advertising (except for The Mentalist, Big Bang Theory, and In Plain Sight - complain to companies that don't offer their shows on the Internet!).  Do they really want to force people to to DVR their shows and skip the commercials?

Clicker.com has the best queue system (virtual DVR) of all TV show websites because it includes all TV shows (from the networks, Hulu, TV.com, Amazon, etc.) and they will e-mail new additions to your queue list.  Hopefully Clicker.com doesn't go CBS-only or disappear since they were purchased by CBS in March 2011.

SideReel.com is similar to Clicker, but will only e-mail you an upcoming schedule of your favorite shows - your queue of unwatched shows is available by going to the website by clicking on "My Tracker" which is in small type in the e-mail.

TV Guide is an alternative to access TV shows because it also links to all TV show sources. But we wish they would increase the size of their type so we can see it from our couch.  They also don't have a queue list, but they do have a "watchlist" that has your favorite shows where you can access them.

Hulu
has a good queue system (and can e-mail you), but unfortunately it's queue is limited to content from it's owners (NBC, Fox, and ABC). TV.com, owned by CBS, is a competitor to Hulu.

Amazon Prime ($79/yr), Hulu Plus ($7.99/mo), and Netflix Streaming ($7.99/mo) are only good for old TV shows & movies, and a very limited movie database.  Not worth the price unless you want to watch a series that you missed (with Hulu Plus and Netflix, you pay monthly and there are no contract periods, so you can sign up for just as long as you want).  Also, Amazon and Vudu (Walmart) have TV shows on a pay-per-view, or pay-per-series basis.

Boxee, which you can easily install from their website at www.Boxee.tv.com. and is pre-installed on The Wave, has many TV shows, plus new "Internet" shows.

Check out www.KoldCast.tv , "where the future of Internet-served television is taking shape".

iTunes has TV shows, but it doesn't work on The Wave and other Linux systems (only Mac & Microsoft systems).   Complain to Apple at info@apple.com to make a Linux version of iTunes, or to make iTunes work from the Internet "in the cloud" regardless of the type of operating system they are using.
